Using your flavoring
How much should I use?
Start with 2 to 3 droppers in an 8 oz cup. Use 3 to 5 droppers for 12 oz or more. One full dropper is 1 mL. Add more or less to taste.
Does it work in cold brew and iced coffee?
Yes. All four flavors work in hot coffee, iced coffee, cold brew, espresso, lattes, and oat milk drinks.
How many cups does one bottle make?
About 26 cups per 4 oz bottle, at roughly 4 mL per cup. At $19.98 a bottle, that is about 77 cents a cup. Use a little less and your bottle goes further.
How should I store it? How long does it last?
Store it in a cool, dark place. We don't publish a specific shelf life. Check for any change in smell or color before you use it.
Which flavor should I start with?
Not sure? The Starter Bundle has one bottle of each of our four flavors: Chocolate Hazelnut, Maple Vanilla Almond, Vanilla Cinnamon, and Vanilla Hazelnut. It ships free.
What's in it
Are your flavorings really sugar-free?
Yes. Zero sugar and zero sugar substitutes. No stevia, no sucralose, no erythritol, no monk fruit.
Will it make my coffee sweet?
It adds flavor, not sugar. Some flavors, like vanilla and maple, taste a little sweet on their own, but nothing in the bottle is sugar or a sweetener. If you want your coffee sweeter, add whatever you normally use.
Is this a syrup?
No. It is a flavoring extract, not a syrup. There are no thickeners and no added sugar. It is concentrated flavor that you add a few drops at a time.
Do your flavors contain nuts or other allergens?
Vanilla Hazelnut and Chocolate Hazelnut are made with natural hazelnut extractives. If you have a tree nut allergy, talk to your doctor before using them. Maple Vanilla Almond is made with stone fruit extracts. Check the full ingredient list on each product page before you order, especially if you have any allergy or sensitivity.
Are they organic or non-GMO certified?
No. Our extracts are natural, but we don't carry organic or non-GMO certification.
Where are they made?
Cook Flavoring Co. in Paso Robles, California makes them. We label them in Colorado.
Shipping and returns
Where do you ship, and how fast?
We ship anywhere in the U.S. Orders go out within 1 to 3 business days. Standard shipping takes 3 to 7 business days and expedited takes 2 to 3. Orders of $50 or more ship free. See the shipping policy for details.
What's your return policy?
All sales are final. We don't accept returns on opened or unopened bottles. If your order arrives damaged or defective, or you received the wrong item, contact us right away and we'll make it right. See the refund policy.
